Family Ties Inn Terms and Conditions apply to all direct and third-party bookings, including platforms such as Booking.com.
By making a reservation; accessing our website; using any services offered by Family Ties Inn, making a booking through third-party platforms, including Booking.com, or entering the property premises, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions in full. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not proceed with your booking or use of our services.

1. Legal Notice & Definitions
Family Ties Inn is a privately operated lodge, restaurant, and event venue located in Mapinga, Bagamoyo, Tanzania.
Definitions
Property / Family Ties Inn / FTI Refers to the lodge, restaurant, event venue, accommodation facilities, and associated premises.
Guest Any individual or group making or seeking accommodation, dining, or event services.
Client Any individual, company, organisation, or entity contracting Family Ties Inn for hospitality or event services.
User Any person accessing or interacting with the Family Ties Inn website or digital services.
Services All accommodation, restaurant, dining, event, venue, and related hospitality services provided by Family Ties Inn.
Booking Confirmation Any written, electronic, or digital confirmation issued by Family Ties Inn or an authorised third-party booking platform.
2. Booking & Reservation Terms
2.1 Direct Bookings
Reservations made directly with Family Ties Inn are subject to availability and are only confirmed upon issuance of a booking confirmation by management.
Family Ties Inn reserves the right to refuse or decline any booking request at its discretion.
2.2 Third-Party Bookings
Reservations made through third-party booking platforms, including Booking.com and other online travel agencies (OTAs), are subject to both these Terms and the policies of the relevant booking platform.
In the event of any conflict between third-party booking platform policies and these Terms, the applicable OTA policies shall govern matters related to the booking platform.
Family Ties Inn is not responsible for technical errors, pricing discrepancies, payment failures, cancellations, or disputes arising from third-party booking platforms.
2.3 Group Bookings
Applies to bookings of 4 or more rooms or events involving 20 or more guests
Requires direct coordination with management
May require a non-refundable deposit
Significant booking changes may affect pricing and availability.
3. Payment Terms
3.1 Accepted Payment Methods
Family Ties Inn accepts:
Cash payments (TZS and USD)
Mobile money services
Bank Transfers
Card payment availability may vary depending on system availability.
Exchange rates are determined by financial institutions and may vary at the time of payment.
3.2 Payment Timing
Accommodation payments are due at check-in unless otherwise agreed.
Event bookings require an advance deposit.
Remaining balances must be settled before or on the agreed service date.
4. Family Ties Inn Terms and Conditions – Cancellation Policy
4.1 Accommodation Cancellations
Free cancellation up to 48 hours before check-in
Late cancellations may incur one-night charges.
No-shows may be charged the full booking amount.
4.2 Event & Venue Cancellations
Event deposits are non-refundable.
Cancellations within 30 days may incur additional charges.
Cancellations within 7 days may result in full charges.
4.3 Force Majeure
Family Ties Inn shall not be held liable for disruptions caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including:
Natural disasters
Government restrictions
Pandemics
Civil unrest
Infrastructure failures
Alternative dates or credits may be offered at management discretion.
5. Check-in & Check-out Policy
Standard Check-in: 2:00 PM
Standard Check-out: 11:00 AM.
Additional Conditions
Early check-in and late check-out depend on availability.
Additional charges may apply.
Valid government-issued identification is required.
The minimum check-in age is 18 years.
6. Guest Conduct & Property Rules
Guests are expected to:
Treat staff and other guests respectfully
Observe quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
Avoid illegal activities on the premises
Smoke only in designated areas
Care for rooms, facilities, furniture, and gardens
Supervise children at all times
Additional Rules
Outside food and beverages may be restricted in restaurant areas.
Guests are financially responsible for damages caused during their stay.
CCTV surveillance may operate in public areas for safety and security purposes.
Family Ties Inn reserves the right to remove disruptive guests without refund where necessary for safety or operational reasons.
7. Event Venue Terms
Event bookings are subject to a separate Event Agreement where applicable.
Event Conditions
Clients are responsible for their guests and vendors.
Decorations must be approved in advance.
External vendors may require approval by management.
Event duration and operating hours must be respected.
Damage to property or facilities is chargeable.
8. Restaurant & Dining Terms
The restaurant is open to both resident guests and outside visitors.
Dining Policies
Advance reservations are recommended for large groups.
Service may be refused to intoxicated or disruptive individuals.
Dietary requirements and allergies should be communicated in advance.
Family Ties Inn cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment.
9. Liability & Disclaimer
Guests use all facilities at their own risk.
Family Ties Inn shall not be liable for:
Loss, theft, or damage to personal property
Injuries caused by guest negligence or misuse of facilities
Temporary website interruptions or technical errors
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability arising from gross negligence or wilful misconduct by Family Ties Inn.
10. Privacy & Data Use
Personal information collected during bookings or enquiries is used for:
Reservation management
Guest communication
Service delivery
Operational and marketing purposes where consent is provided
Family Ties Inn does not sell or unlawfully share personal information with unauthorised third parties.
11. Intellectual Property
All content, including text, photographs, branding, graphics, and website materials, is the intellectual property of Family Ties Inn and protected by copyright laws.
Unauthorised reproduction, copying, or commercial use is prohibited.
12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.
Disputes shall:
First be addressed through direct negotiation
Proceed to mediation where necessary
Be handled by the courts of competent jurisdiction in Tanzania
13. Amendments to These Terms
Family Ties Inn reserves the right to amend or update these Terms at any time.
Continued use of services after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
